Chanel Métiers d’Art 2013 Beaded Sheer Silk & Leather Deep V Top

The Chanel Pre-Fall Collection, also known as the Chanel Métiers d’Art, is an annual celebration of art and culture. The 2013 show took place on a snowy evening at the ruins of Linlithgow Palace in Edinburgh, Scotland, the perfect backdrop for what Creative Director Karl Lagerfeld described as a “Barbarian Romance.”

French Haute Couture met medieval Scottish fantasy to wide acclaim, with an opulent array of regal gowns, oversized ruffs, tweeds, tartans, argyle tights, and knitwear. The back of the bodice is done in an unadorned soft black leather, offering a nice contrast of color and texture.
