Christian Dior Raf Simmons Abstract Stripe Dress Runway Fall 2015

As seen as look #55 on that season’s runway, this dress may very well be the actual runway sample as the label is marked ‘#55’ in pen, making it even more special. The dress begins with a simple round neckline and short sleeves, allowing the curving stripe motif of the season to take center stage. The incredible cape at the back is a little longer than the dress itself, creating a high-low hem when viewed from the front. The cape aligns perfectly with the design of the dress and is ingeniously constructed to lift open at the right shoulder, giving this dress an incredible layered quality when viewed from the side that also reveals the crimson stripe that curves along the back underlayer.
