Versace Animalier Barocco Print Swimsuit & Cover Up Top
Gianni Versace’s aesthetic is recognizable to almost anyone. A collector of fine art, Versace employed a combination of animal prints, and baroque metal work prints that defy the rules of balance, by bring together two seemingly opposing elements into an outspoken bricolage. Versace was known for this gaudy aesthetic, pairing them with sexy style lines that display the shape, in a sculptural way.
This Versace halter, one-piece swimsuit is of a brown leopard print with the Barocco overprint circling underneath the bust. Resting low on the bust, the swimsuit bodice has concealed underwire cups to provide support, as the halter straps can be worn in a variety of different configurations, crisscrossed, and like a necklace around the neck. The straps are also detachable.
The straps are finished with golden square aglets engraved with the Versace logo. This set comes with a scoop neck tunic of the same leopard print that features the Barocco print across the shoulders, and sleeves. The tunic features a keyhole back, that closes with an iconic Versace head of Medusa button. Versace’s print pairing has been a daring synonym for Italian fashion ingenuity since the 90s, and this combination of the leopard / Barocco combination has been revived by the brand in 2018.
