Prada F/W 2004 Crocodile Jeweled Bag Limited Edition

$2,900

Muccia Prada, the visionary behind the Italian house of Prada, is known for her subversive approach to fashion. Describing her creative process as “always trying to go against the rules, the cliché” in an interview for Vogue, Muccia has consistently created unique designs that feel contemporary years after their debut.

According to Muccia, the Prada 2004 Fall/Winter collection “…was a dream of extreme romanticism,” inspired by “the idea of eighteenth-century painting, with video games.” This dream materialized as an array of bejeweled fifties silhouettes and futuristic prints, seamlessly merging past and future ideas of beauty.

As seen on that season’s runway, this incredible Cocco Ricamo bag was also featured in the ad campaign photographed by Steven Meisel. Done in genuine crocodile leather, this bag was produced in limited quantities, making it a rare and highly collectable item.

This luxurious clutch is constructed from black, espresso, and chocolate shades of crocodile and features a glittering medallion of clear and jet-black Swarovski crystals arranged in floral pattern. The clutch opens with a silver press lock near the base, flanked by two small leather pockets that are partially concealed by the cross over flap.
