Basha Gold
Celine Phoebe Philo Multi Gourmette Patchwork Gold Chain Strap Shoulder Bag, 2012
After becoming creative director of Celine in 2008, Phoebe Philo is heralded as something of a visionary for the brand. Her aesthetic of keeping to the staples and quirky injection of color here and there make for her designs to be relatable. More than anything, her fashionable and functional accessories have consistently been catapulted to the top of the trend list quickly becoming the “it” bag.
From the Resort 2012 collection, this Celine crossbody is made from quilted leather strips. Leathers in a symphony of colors of eggshell, crème, tan, cordovan, beige, khaki, royal blue, red, green, black, and slate make up the exterior of the bag. Though many colors, the mixture of the neutral and bold hues of the leathers give it a charming crafty look.
The bag has a soft trapezoidal shape and a gold chain strap extending from the sides. A vibrant and easy-going bag, this Celine shoulder bag is spacious and practical to style with a variety of looks and can be seen as a part of that season’s photoshoot on looks #15, 16 and 18.
