Diane Freis Blue Floral Silk Georgette Dress, 1990s

This circa 1992 dress is done in a vivacious printed georgette. A large floral motif of violet and crimson flowers interspersed by flourishes of green float across a royal blue ground. Beads in matching colors have been stitched on adding both dimension and texture to the fabric.

The dress begins with a plunging V-neck surplice bodice that is lightly gathered into the shirred waist. From there, the skirt drapes to a gorgeous ankle-length lettuce hem.
