Cavalli’s aesthetic, however, tends to be tamer working diligently to manipulate the textile to best display the exorbitant prints. With a bohemian vibe, the Resort 2017 collection showcased vintage-esque fabric, patchwork, and flowing kaftans.

This fringe dress created from overlaying metallic tones of seafoam green, red, royal blue, gold, and magenta speaks to the story of the collection while creating a color-changing effect as the fringe mingles with itself. The dress has an underlying column silhouette that allows the fringe to flow freely. A deep V-neckline mimicked by angular cuts adds some edge to the folk inspired design.
