Prada Yellow Brown Print Knit Button Detail Plunge Neck Bodysuit Runway, 2019

The Spring 2019 collection by Prada was about remixing boundaries and “breaking the rules of the classic”. To do this, Miuccia Prada offered a careful concoction of smart ensembles with moderately risqué details inspired by a mid-century aesthetic and the present.

This plunge neck bodysuit is made from a mahogany purl-face knit with a yellow chain link pattern. The neckline plunges to a deep U ending at the waist allowing for a three-quarter coverage of the bust. Side darts allow for additional shaping and security of the garment. The back neckline is identical, dipping slightly lower than that of the front.

Just below the bust line, an ivory belt secures with a chunky gold-toned button creating an H-line across the opening of the body suit that compliments the print. With a slight fit at the waist, this body suit breaks at the mid-thigh. Undoubtedly daring, this bodysuit can be paired with a pair of low-rise trousers or a hip-hugger skirt for a shocking ensemble.
