From his Fall/Winter 1985 collection, this YSL maxi-wrap dress is done in a vivacious amethyst pane velvet. The silhouette combined with the luxurious velvet fabric give this dress a regal historical vibe. The surplice of this dress forms a deep V-neckline that works perfectly with the sexy purple color of the dress. A simple sash belt accentuates the waist highlighting the perfectly proportioned silhouette of the garment.

From the hips, the dress flows straight down to the ankle-length hem that scoops up at centre front balancing the V-neckline. Light bishop sleeves provide a finishing touch of whimsy to the look.
