1990s Kokin New York Large Brim Taupe Sun Hat

Kokin is one of the few majorly acclaimed millinery designers in the US. Having started in the 1980s, Kokin harnessed his millinery skills whilst studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, and soon after became an international success in the world of hats. With his designs in prominent retail stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue, and Bergdorf Goodman, his hats have been sought after, and worn by a host of celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Bette Midler, and Beyoncé to name a few.

This Kokin sun hat from the 1990s is made of coiled braids of ivory, beige, and taupe that give the hat a sandy color with a subtle sheen. It features a wide, flexible brim that allows the brim to be styled versatilely. Around the edge of the brim, there is a slightly darker band in the same braid material.
