Done in a hand-dyed copper silk, this dress has been masterfully pleated in the style of Mariano Fortuny. The pleats and the variations in the dyeing creates a warm dance of color variation throughout.
The dress begins with a shallow boat neckline embellished with glass beading from which the fabric cascades to knee level softly caressing the curves of the body ending in a lettuce hemline that mimics the finish on the sleeves. This dress is excellently crafted and exudes history is a masterful way. It is the ultimate party dress with historic character.
