Prada Fairy Green White Print Silk Organza Skirt Runway, 2008

$0
Capturing the imagination and a nostalgia for the magical, the Prada Fairy collection in 2008 was a hallmark of the brand. Whimsical silhouettes and optical prints, this collection brought the fantastic to life. Done in a green and crème check that resembles Judy Garland’s iconic gingham jumper from Wizard of Oz, this skirt is made from a quality silk organza that is extremely light.

The green bands of the fabric have a micro check pattern running through them adding additional dimension to the print. Sitting at the waist, the skirt has been gathered in which gives it an initial bell-shaped volume. At hip level, the skirt has pleat clusters that change the appearance of the fabric into stripes or larger checks.

An elegant and dreamy piece, this skirt can be seen as look #7 on that season’s runway and on Ulyana Sergeenko who has worn almost every piece from this collection.
