Vintage Courrèges Paris Baby Blue Creme Cropped Top and Skirt Set

$0

André Courrèges is one of the most iconic designers of the 1960s. He and others such as Pierre Cardin built an era of fashion that defined the generation and aesthetic of space-ageism. A hallmark of Courrèges’ designs was his use of color blocking and primary colors alongside the 1960’s staple pinafore silhouette. This chic top and skirt set is a fine example of Courreges work with color blocking.

Done in a textured wool blend Tiffany blue fabric, the cropped top features a notched jewel neckline and short sleeves with small slits. The hem falls just above the hips in a crisp silhouette while the back of the bodice features five silver button closures that gleam and catch the light.
